RARE UNKNOWN MUREX SPECIES WITH ORANGE-PINK COLORS!! This is one of the smallest murex specimen I’ve ever found, measuring just 3.7 mm. It has a striking, deep color somewhere between orange and pink. And the shell still has some micro attachments- natural conditions. Hard to tell without expert knowledge—perhaps a tiny new species or a juvenile Phyllonotus regius, for example; I’m not sure. For those who love unique, curious, and mysterious things, for all micro shells. Gem-F+++. For advancer collectors. Three months ago, I placed a sack full of dead scallops with multiple holes in it at a depth of 10 meters, and when I pulled it out, I found small species—some common, some uncommon, and some rare. It was a great experiment and a big surprise to find such tiny and varied species. Found inside dead oyster about 10m deep. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. June 2026.
