Very pretty and unique candida differing from most candida in that it has distinct gold lateral spotting and a golden hue in the banded dorsum. Collected from a brown basket sponge in 73 metres of water south of Duke of Orleans Bay, Western Australia during January 2026. As can be seen in the photos it has growth interruptions on the labial side of dorsum and is a little young, therefore graded Fine+. Even so it is a very special shell and rare with this coloration.
