An outstanding and impressive specimen of Astraea heliotropium, measuring a substantial 114.26mm. This 'Sunburst Star Turbo' is a classic representative of New Zealand’s deep-water fauna. Critically, it includes its original operculum, a rare feature that significantly enhances its value. Collected live many years ago, the shell exhibits excellent structural integrity with the characteristic long, delicate spines well-preserved around the periphery.
