Note
Admirable sandstone orange pigmented dorsum, distinct dorsal line and excellent nacre gloss highlight this deep water subspecies. This specimen has lovely spotting on the mid-dorsum and lateral walls. The shell displays noteworthy inflation of the columellar aspect with a bulbous columellar egg shell white lateral wall/margin.The shell has flawless extremities and a subdued brown infused base pattern. The shell was trawled at 120-140 meters in the Taiwan Strait, East China Sea in 10/2014. The shell is difficult to flaw. Grade: GEM.
