NoteGolden example of westralica, with distinctive chestnut brown/orange dorsal botching, thick glossy nacre and perfect extremities. The shell is moderately heavy for its size (74.2 grams) and shows remarkable form and a wide mantle line paired by complementing rows smaller spots. The shell is wonderfully inflated, modestly rostrated, has a inflated dorsum and is complemented with a thick nacre. Captured by trawler at 130-150 meters off the western Great Australian Bight, Eucla, Western Australia in 2016. There are small silt inclusions in the posterior and central columellar teeth and nacre loss on the columellar base. Grade: F+++/GEM minus.
