A magnificent, super-globose specimen distinguished by an exceptionally broad aperture in proportion to its body whorl—an imposing and highly desirable conformation that immediately sets it apart within its group. The amber-colored periostracum is remarkably well preserved; specimens retaining the periostracum in such fine condition are rarely encountered, making this example particularly noteworthy for collectors who value natural completeness. The shell boasts an impressive aperture and a thick, well-developed beige lip, reflecting full maturity and structural strength. Its bold proportions and harmonious balance between inflated form and expansive opening give it exceptional display presence in any advanced terrestrial collection. Collected by local inhabitants in June 2025 among the leaf litter of humid Andean forest in the department of Santander, Colombia, at 1,600 meters above sea level. Ongoing deforestation and logging in the Colombian Andes have made the search for these shells increasingly difficult, adding an undeniable element of scarcity to well-preserved, fresh material such as this.
