NoteAn EXCEPTIONAL LARGE specimen of the TUAMOTAN form of this diminutive species. Rare quality. Rich colour: deep bird’s egg blue ground, decorated with an abundance of perfectly formed reddish chestnut maculae. An exquisite jewel for the advanced Cypraeidae specialist. Data: Off Rangiroa, Palliser Islands, Tuamotu Islands; upon reef substrate, under small coral slab, amongst white coral sand and algae, at night; 12 m; dived; 1994. Size: 10.9 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
