NoteAn OUTSTANDING extremely large specimen of a RARE deep-water form, exhibiting rich colour, in conjunction with a dense, mottled dorsal pattern of the highest aesthetic merit. Beautiful colour, including a striking thalamega-like ochre-cream ventrum, with pure white dentition. Spectacular dorsal pattern of multitudinous large, coalescent maculae. NOTE: The locality is the western-most point of mainland Australia. Data; Off Steep Point, Shark Bay, Gascoyne Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, amongst sponges; 110 m; ROV; 2023. Size: 76.5 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
