NoteSPECIAL DARK BROWN COLOR FORM WOOOOW!! Special seldom seen so dark brown color with incredible elegant long spines all around and superb sculpture, the spire is really nice with no erosion and no pin holes, really beautiful with intact apex , excellent lip and siphon. Some minor peak damage spines in the ventral side almost lost not really harming this beauty spiny dark colored rarity. F+++ - F++. Extraordinary very high selection of superb Homalocantha oxyacantha with elegant long spines and wonderful sculpture. Most of the open sea specimens are really ugly with several damage, no spines, erosion, absent apex and even spire, scars and simply impossible to clean with thick calcareous attachments. Inside the lagoon of Barra de Navidad there is a population with superb conditions but really hard to find, they camouflage between dense thick mud-algae and most of them are completely buried making almost impossible sometimes to find. Only for professional and advancer divers. Here you can admire a great spiny ones , choose your favorite int this great auction. For advancer collectors and lover of spiny shells. Found in muddy bottom attached between stones about 5-7m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025.
