NoteA superb large specimen of this deep-water, endemic New Zealandic species. Superior quality to that usually offered. Hand-selected from many specimens during the ‘old days’ of New Zealandic availability. Beautiful earth colours. Supremely well-formed pattern of high aesthetic merit. Superb proportions. Not freshly collected from this locality for many years, with the region now protected under the Kapiti Marine Reserve. Data: Off Waikanae, Kapiti Coast, North Island, New Zealand; upon sand/mud/detritus substrate; 40-80 m; dredged; 1984. Size: 99.6 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
