| Note | From Bongao, still in the Philippines, but almost in Borneo. A highly unusual Chicoreus, of rather large size and with a splendid dark brown coloration with a tinge of dark purple on the ends. The shape is identical to another “akritos cf.”, almost white, from Zamboanga. Rare, possibly unique. HYPOTYPE in the twin books: 1000 Shells, exceptionals from the Philippines.
