F+++/GEM. Unable to positively identify this species which I self collected from Rodrigues Island of Mauritius during my collecting trip in year 2016. I check both Patellidae and Nacellidae but nothing similar. Top best quality with perfect lip edge of the shell. All collectors know the biggest challenge of collecting Limpet is the lip condition and erosion. Majority of shells suffered lip damages when removing the shell from rocks, and often badly eroded. This specimen was removed with extreme caution to maintain the flawless perfect mature lip and it is almost free of erosion. Found alive attached to lava crevices underneath high cliff facing strong wave current, far end of St Francois, 30th Oct 2016. Unique, for specialist.
