Good quality shell from Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. Note that this shell has previously been sold by myself and others under the name asteriscus. Astralium expert Axel Alf has brought it to my attention that stellare is the correct name for this species and that the Australian shell previously listed by some people as stellare is actually asteriscus. These corrected species names are consistent with the illustrations provided by Tryon (1888).
