| Note | THE REAL ULTRA RARE BLACK COLOR FORM!! LOTTIIDAE - Lottia discors (Philippi, 1849). Extremely rare ventral color side with impressive Black glossy colors al most all around between the ring outer lip and the middle spot, and the white callous. Usually this species is always white in the ventral side with no spots , here a unique and exquisite aesthetic beauty. The dorsal part is coming with a ring with black tiny multiple lines and the top is with several erosion as usual for the this rough species living in the rocks between waves, currents and exposed directly to the sun light. Gem ventral side and F++ Dorsal side. A very interesting species that in many cases remains in the same stone all its life, forming together with the erosion on the stone the exacted figure of the shell outline. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents and waves, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Exceptional ultra rare size for the species!! Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide.
