| Note | Since its publication in 1965 by Chinese shellfish scientist Mr. Li Shicheng, few specimens have been recorded, and it is an extremely rare species of the genus Cuneopsis (Simpson,1900). In 2019~2021, Mr. Guo Liang, a young shellfish scholar, led a team to investigate the Poyang Lake area many times, but no living organisms of this species were found. Until 2022, the species was found sporadically distributed in Fuhe river, Jiangxi, China, and the number was extremely small. The Fuhe River is very turbulent and sandy, and many parts of the river have been damaged by sand dredging. This specimen was collected in November 2023 in Fuhe river, Jiangxi province, China and is in very perfect condition. |
