A DECOLLATE EXASPERATA. Exasperata is not a shallow-water species like Delphinus: most of the images are from about 20 metres depth. This specimen comes from a much greater depth, the shell was caught with a net, and the location is also unusual. The vast majority of Exasperata come from the Olango-Caubian region. A decollate condition in Exasperata is very rare. Practically not present in any collection.
Philippines. Siquijor. Tangle nets. 50-150 m. 2013.
