| Note | MAGNIFICENT......Without doubt one of the most attractive aliwalensis I have seen. Exceptional colours, beyond adequate description: lavender, blue, cream, chocolate, café au lait, dark tan, and vivid orange-yellow dentition. Exquisite dorsal pattern and an 'oh my!' mantle line. Impeccably curated, exhibits exceedingly heavy gloss and appears as fresh as the day it was collected. Ultra mature. The true beauty of this specimen can only be adequately appreciated ‘in the hand’. A very special aliwalensis, and the absolute best of the best. More images available. Grading: Gem. Provenance: from my own collection. Taken on reef substrate; 40m; dived; Off Natal, South Africa. |
