| Note | Rotund and strongly calloused deep water classic specimen. The thick nacred dorsum displays a mellow brown/tan/grey primary color with an excellent but sparse distribution of blotching and spotting. Lovely specimen with great coloration of the thick rounded margins and extremities, distinctive patterning and form. Highly collectible and shining example of the species. The specimen shows with a favorable weight/size ratio, high gloss and flawless extremities. The porteri was captured by tangle net at 100-120 meters off Balut Island, Mindanao, Philippines in 12/2022. Grade: GEM/GEM minus. |
