| Note | Outstanding hyper-inflated, significantly rostrated specimen and a very collectible significant thersites. The shell displays a beautiful mottled dorsal pattern, integrated spots and maculae. The impressive specimen has flawless extremities and base with an exceptional glossy nacre. Diver collected off Partney Island, Sir Joseph Banks Island Group, South Australia in 2/2000. No specimens collected at this location for over a decade, due to the South Australian Fisheries Department closure to commercial Shell Diving operations. There is present a soft shallow crease on the mid-dorsum, labral side. Grade: GEM minus |
