Note | A fresh-taken and remarkable example of this hyper-pigmented subspecies with a lovely pattern and marvelous black veil. Rare to find these dark specimens without appreciable flaws. The shell displays a perfect base and flawless extremities. Specimen collected by diver Mark Wilkin at 15-24 meters while sitting on sponge nested on a large rock off Rottnest Island, Western Australia. Gorgeous specimen, with a few negligible blemishes on the dorsum. Grade: GEM minus. |
