Item | # 0003321047 |
Family | Angaridae |
Name | Angaria tyria - AMAZING COLOUR + QUALITY , (Reeve, 1842) |
Size | 68.11 mm, w/o |
Locality | Jurien Bay, Western Australia |
Note | A really BEAUTIFUL example of uncommon species with unusual PURPLE MARKINGS on every spine of the shell rather than the typically white. Great size and quality as these shells are often prone to bad worm holes and damaged spines. Very good overall quality with most spines and fronding in exceptional condition and no major growth lines. Taken by diver on top of weedy, rubble reef amongst seaweed and short algae at 8m. Jurien Bay, W.A. April 2024 *White marks are from camera reflection. Please ask for more images* |
