| Note | Primo shell for this now uncommon intertidal California rock shell species. Wonderfully back curved thick varices on the body whorl, intact protoconch, spire, aperture lips and siphonal canal. Classic axial pin striping painted on the light brown/antique white primary body whorl hue. Collected at the Back Bay, Newport Beach, California in the 50's. Acquired from an old collection. The shell displays some wear on the varical flanges (wings). Grade: F+++/GEM. |
