| Note | A RARE PURPLE CROCATA.
The Lambis crocata is occasionally the most elegant of all Lambis. Especially the L. crocata pilsbryi from the Marquesas which reaches huge sizes can be breath-taking.
In the Philppines, we also get, once in a while, very elegant. The large majority of the crocata have warm brown dorsum, often with minor white speckles. Especially Siquijor produces also yellow colored shells. They are major beauties.
But the rarest color of all is purple and this is without doubt, one of the best. This is rarer than a violacea, a must for the Lambis-lover and a major item for the connoisseur of aesthetic shells: to join next to the brown and the yellow crocata.
