Note | One nice specimen of Felicioliva peruviana f. fulgurata forma coniformis. This species have several different color patterns, varying from deep brown color to almost white, but they live all in the same areas, and there are often specimens with very different shells living together. This particular specimen is a rare form variant, where the shell has a carina in its periphery, and which also develops a tubercle or parietal callus (as in Olivancillaria species). This specimen was collected alive buried in sand at a sandy protected beach in northern Chile (Puerto Viejo). An interesting and rare color variant for the species. |
