Note | The LAST first-rate, rare quality specimen of this deep-water, endemic Queensland species I can provide from my private collection. Particuarly attractive pattern of reduced axial streaks. PERFECT, fully mature outer apertural lip, and very rare perfect siphonal canal and pin-point protoconch, usually lost during the trawling process. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls, now obtainable only from old collections, and very seldom of this quality. Size: 48.5 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: East of North Reef, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-80 m; trawled; 1983. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
