Beautiful!! I'm very disappointed with the result of the pictures I have to show you of this specimen. Cypraeidae is probably one of the most beautiful families in the shell world, yet these shells are the most complicated to photograph, and right here we have a clear examble of this. What in the pictures appears to be a boring brown colour is an intense yellowish orange which forms a very beautiful and defined pattern.Also, there is a strong contrast between the white base and the colorful dorsum, feature which extols its astonishing beauty. None of this can be seen in the pictures, which show, in my opinion, a much (worse and) different shell. |
