SEMICASSIS ADCOCKI: This is the largest and BEST adcocki from my private collection - an exceptional shell. Huge size for this diminutive species. Magnificent, indesribable colour: pink, lavender, peach, caramel. Spiral bands of markings formed with rare perfection. Rich chestnut accents to lip. Hypermature: solid, with marked weight to size ratio. Perfect, greatly thickened, recurved and glossed outer apertural lip. The absolute 'top of the line' for this rare, highly coveted southern Australia species. Simply no longer available, and obtainable only from choice old collections. A 'museum piece' of conchology. (Note: Fine white line across body whorl in above left image is only cotton wool fibre from operculum mounting.) Size: 37.9 mm (length). Grading: Gem; w/o.
