Note | An exquisite specimen of this endemic northern Australian species, exhibiting particularly rich and beautiful colour: caramel, fawn, pink, and rose. Ultra-recurved, wildly branching varical fronds of most graceful formation, in an exemplary overall state of preservation. Supremely balanced proportions. Tiny, ultra-delicate mammillate protoconch intact. Painstakingly cleaned, with no encrustation. Size: 42.3 mm (length). Grading: F+++; w/o. Data: Dampier, Western Australia, Australia; upon silty sand/mud/detritus substrate, at extreme seasonal low tide; 1986. |
