| Note | A superb specimen of the Queensland, deep-water form of the REAL duffusi - a diminutive eastern Australian endemic species. Vokes, in her 1993 revision of this genus, offers evidence that duffusi is geographically restricted from both triformis and acanthopterus. Expansive principal and tertiary varices of superbly balanced proportions. (Secondary varix less so.) Mammillate protoconch intact. Size: 26.5 mm (length). Grading: F++++; w/o. Data: Off Cape Moreton, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-120 m; trawled; 1982. |
