Note | Only very recently collected, this is the BEST specimen I have ever handled of this endemic south-eastern Australian species. The specimen comes from a population noted for their particulary rich and beautiful colours - far more so than typical examples: pink, cream, lavender and lemon. Very large size. Fully mature, 'rolled' outer apertural lip and siphonal canal. Protoconch intact. Utter perfection. In a different league to virtually all other specimens offered. Size: 50.8 mm (length). Grading: Gem; w/o. Data: Weeroona Bay, Portsea, Victoria, Australia; upon sand/rubble substrate; 14-16 m; dived; 2018. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
