Note | Either a dwarf specimen, or constituting the male of the species from this locality, this is a beautiful little specimen of this endemic south-eastern Austrralian species. It has a particularly pleasing overall colour, akin to finely burnished wood. Fresh-dead-collected, but with external live-collected appearance, with nothing but the most minimal inclusions to aperture. Perfect, fully mature outer apertural lip. Size: 95.7 mm (length). Grading: F++. Data: Off Stanley, Tasmania, Australia; upon sand/rubble substrate; 60-80 m; craypot; 1981. |
