| Note | A superb specimen of this endemic Queensland species, exhibiting a striking pattern formed with supreme regularity. High quality for this usually very rough, deep-water trawled species, with nothing but typical minor trawl roughness to anterior. Excellent preservation of the delicate outer apertural lip, left in its natural state, with no artificial smoothing. Many examples were collected during the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls, yet few were of this quality. Now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 114.7 mm (length). Grading: F+++. Data: Off Cape Moreton, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-120 m; trawled; 1982. |
