Note | A superb ultra-large specimen of the lemon yellow colour form, the rarest of colours of this oversized, endemic South Australian subspecies. Ultra-thin shell, always with substantial growth lines and fraying to outer apertural lip. For the advanced Conidae specialist whose collection yet lacks a specimen of this rare colour form. Size: 67.7 mm (length). Grading: F++; w/o. Data: Thorny Passage, Port Lincoln, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia; upon coarse sand/rubble substrate, at night; 14 m; dived; 1994. |
