ERICUSA PAPILLOSA KENYONIANA: Extremely large for the kenyoniana form. Characteristic axially ridged sculpture. Perfect outer apertural lip, and exceedingly rare preservation of the particularly elongate and delicate siphonal canal. One growth disruption to an early whorl, and one tiny predatory mark, (hidden upon ventrum), only to be expected upon a specimen of such advanced age and size. Size: 152.6 mm (length). Grading: F++. Data: Off Eden, New South Wales, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-100 m; trawled; 1982. |
