CYMBIOLACCA CRACENTA: An exceptional specimen of this endemic Queensland species, from an uncommon locality. Perfection throughout, with all peripheral spines intact. Ultra-rich reddish ochre, decorated with flecks of chestnut. Its locality now constitutes Bowling Green Bay National Park, and no fresh specimens will be available in future. Now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 61.6 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Cape Bowling Green, Townsville, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-120 m; trawled; 1982.
