Note | NOTE: Special sales dispersing exceptional specimens from my private collection, along with highlights from my high quality stock, will continue indefinitely, without this initial notice. CASSIS FIMBRIATA: A very large specimen of this endemic southern Australian species, exhibiting an ultra-dense pattern in exceedingly rich colour. This appears to be a specific form, far rarer than typical examples, of which I have see only a handful during my career. One tiny predatory mark, completely hidden upon ventrum, otherwise perfection. Size: 95.9 mm (length). Grading: F+++. Data: Off Kingston SE, South Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate; 40-80 m; craypot; 1983. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
