Many collectors will be unfamiliar with the Queensland form, which exhibits a very solid shell, with markedly thickened axial ribs, and exquisite subtle colours. Vivid pink apex. Now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 47.8 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Cooktown, Queensland, Australia; upon coral sand/rubble substrate; 20-40 m; dredged; 1987.
