NANNAMORIA INOPINATA: Undoubtedly one of the FINEST known examples of this classic Queensland rarity, and the BEST specimen I have ever handled. A very rare species in ANY condition, and usually with substantial growth damage, the current specimen is utter PERFECTION, including complete preservation of the ultra-delicate siphonal canal and anterior region of the outer apertural lip, lost in life or via trawl damage upon almost every example. Protoconch intact. Hypermature, with ultra-solid shell and great weight to size ratio. Collected during the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls, and now obtainable only from choice old collections. A treasured specimen from my private collection, now to be passed only to another connoisseur of the world's very best seashells. Size: 49.2 mm (length). Grading: Gem.
