NOTOCYPRAEA ANGUSTATA: A large and superb specimen, exhibiting three distinct spiral ridges of hypermaturity upon the dorsum. Pale café au lait dorsum, with numerous chocolate maculae to hypermature labral margin. Dark chocolate terminals. Natural lines of early development towards columellar side of dorsum, always present in this species. Size: 25.2 mm (length). Grading: F+++. Data: Port Macdonnell, South Australia, Australia; upon reef substrate, under slab at extreme low tide; dived; 1989. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
