| Note | Crabbed shell ROV collected in 128 metres west of Margaret River. Exceptional pattern and dorsal display. The lip has been broken by a crab or fish attack. The dark radial bands are not as red as they appear in the photos and more tan rather rand red. A dead collected shell but still a fine example of a very rare and difficult to obtain volute. This is the only specimen I have other than a near gem specimen in my own collection. We see them very rarely. |
