PENION MAXIMUS: The BEST giant specimen of the elegant, deep-water Queensland form of this endemic eastern Australian species I have ever handled. Lighter in weight, and more slender than the southern form, the far north-eastern form constitutes the most beautiful incarnation of the species. Exemplary overall quality for this usually very rough, trawled species. For the Buccinidae specialist, or collector of giant sized shells. (Note: To provide adequate protection in a very large parcel, I will round down postage for this enormous specimen to 40 EUR to anywhere in the world.) Size: c.265 mm (length). Grading: F+++.
