| Note | Absolutely stunning New Caledonian lynx at a low start. Very rare. Beautifully rostrate with pinched ends. Decidedly humped (more impressive in the hand, images don't do enough justice). Intense crisp black marginal spotting, over ravishing hues of mauve, blue and red. Large size. Very heavy. Ultra-mature. Unique to the New Caledonia. So alluring!!! Miniscule blemish not worth mentioning. A deserving addition to the finest collection. A rare and valuable piece at a low start. Grade: Gem/Gem-. Provenance: from my own collection. Collected by diver. Port Boisé Bay, South New Caledonia. |
