Note | EXTRA SPECIAL SALE - PART 2: Part two of my extra special sale comprised entirely of exceptional specimens from my private collection, representing highlights of my collecting and dealing career. Another opportunity to acquire outstanding and unique seashells from one of the world’s pre-eminent collections. PARAMORIA GUNTHERI: A perfect specimen of the rare and very seldom seen or offered pale colour form of this endemic southern Australian species. Very few of these ultra-pale specimens are known in comparison with the typical colour form. The rarity of the current specimen is enhanced by its exhibiting a single spiral band, as opposed to the usual two. A truly rare and exquisite specimen for the Volutidae specialist. Size: 44.3 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Port Lincoln, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia; upon coarse sand/rubble substrate, at night; 22 m; dived; 1992.
