By some specialits this shell is referred to as sp. fragosus and it represents the rarest of all the Florida Pecten with extremely protrudings knobs which are without equal. Extremely rare and in recent decades no specimens have been collected, only available from the finest of private collections. A museum quality showcase specimen of breathtaking beauty.
