Note | An uncommon incarnation of the niveum form, exhibiting a markedly solid shell, in which the characteristic pronounced whorl periphery exhibits particularly well-developed nodes. Beautiful pale pink, with chestnut accents. Fresh-dead-collected from craypots during the ?old days? of collecting. Typical slight loss at siphonal canal. Now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 56.5 mm (length). Grading: F+. Data: Off Portland, Victoria, Australia; upon sand/rubble substrate; 60-80 m; craypot; 1979. |
